Holiday Launch

For holiday makers who have a boat and would like to bring it with them there are slipways where boats can be launched and retrieved. Harbour dues are payable for all boats launched regardless of how many times the boat will be used or whether it is kept afloat, ashore or taken home each night. Please contact the Harbour Office for more details

Visitors wishing to use kayaks, paddleboards, or any similar type of vessel whilst they are on holiday must pay a charge, whether they are taken home each night (day launch) or left on the foreshore. Please see Visitors Charges for more details.

Bridgend; there are two slipways here and are the main access points for boats that are to be launched from trailers. Both slipways can be accessed for approximately 2 hours either side of high tide. Bridgend Quay may have space for short term holiday storage for boats up to 15’ in length. There is no storage for trailers here.

Noss hard; there is access to the water for about 2.5 hours either side of high tide. There is no storage for boats or trailers here.

The Brook: there is access to the water for about 2.5 hours either side of high tide. There is no storage for boats or trailers here.

Yealm Steps: access to the water at all states of the tide. Please note that if you wish to launch a kayak or paddleboard from here you should use the slipway to the left of the quay as you come down the steps.

For holiday makers wishing to keep their boat afloat for the duration of their holiday we have two visitor’s mooring (PM5 and PM6), each mooring can take up to three boats alongside each other and no longer than 20’. This must be pre-booked with the harbour office. Visitor rates apply
